Chiropractic Care

Woman being adjusted

When a patient comes into the clinic with limited knowledge of chiropractic, Dr. G lets them know that her goal is to not only reduce the aches and pains they’re experiencing, but also remove the nerve interference that’s causing the issue.

What Is Chiropractic?

Dr. G describes the problem, subluxation, as a condition where the spinal bones aren’t sitting ideally—where they’re supposed to be. They move and twist in the body and get a little bit out of position. When that happens, our nerves don’t function as well, which causes nerve interference and aches and pains, which also reduces our range of motion.

Communication between the nerves and muscles suffers, and they can’t function as well as they should. Soft tissue structures, such as discs, ligaments, and tendons, start to malfunction if left untreated. And after years of wear and tear on the body, degeneration becomes evident.
NEW PATIENTS

Symptoms may include low back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, etc. Our special focus is on vertigo, pregnancy, and pediatrics.

How We Help

What Dr. G does to stop this cycle is remove that nerve interference by putting the spinal bones back where they’re supposed to be with chiropractic care. This restores motion, flexibility, and function, so the body can heal as it is designed to do.

Our primary methods of adjustment are manual manipulation techniques, which include:

  • Diversified: The most widely used technique. Dr. G’s favorite method involves moving various parts of the body and also repositioning the patient.
  • Thompson Drop Table: Helps move the body a little better with less force.
  • Flexion Distraction—works well for disc problems, as it stretches the lumbar spine, increasing the space between the vertebrae to remove nerve interference.
  • Logan Basic: a low velocity technique designed to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system. Also known as the rest and digest system, this technique helps patients relax more.
  • Activator Method: an extremely gentle, adjustable tool with specific protocols for each segment of the spine to determine where adjustment is needed. Great for children and seniors.

Dr. G may use any combination of methods to provide the relief you need.
